Two Doctors And Two Nurses At Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Are In Trouble Over Hit And Run Case

According to a report by Gh Page, Accra’s Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has officially suspended four healthcare workers—specifically, two doctors and two nurses.

This action was confirmed in a widely circulated online press release from the hospital’s management. The statement explained that the staff members were put on administrative leave over accusations that they neglected to administer emergency treatment to a hit-and-run patient, who tragically passed away.

To properly look into the matter, the hospital has assembled an official committee to perform a comprehensive review of the incident and the patient’s subsequent death. While awaiting the investigation’s results, the Board and leadership have urged all involved parties to fully cooperate to ensure an objective and fair inquiry.

The institution closed its statement by reaffirming its dedication to accountable, high-quality healthcare, promising to release further details once the investigation is complete.
