Gospel singer and songwriter, Perez Musik has recounted on his tertiary days when he was more than a chain smoker and how he was able to over his addiction.

The “Hewale Lala” hit maker, in his recent interview on Asaase radio’s Between Hours show hosted by Naa Ashorkor, recounted on his tertiary days when he was more than a chain smoker and nearly became a junky.

According to him, he picked up this smoking habit when he was in level 100. It was an occasional something then suddenly it became an addiction until he had a change of mind to quit smoking.

Perez Musik, won two awards at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He won the Songwriter of the Year and Best Male Vocal Performance awards with his hit song ‘Hewale Lala’.

In the songwriter category he beat off competition from Piesie Esther, Black Sherif, Diana Hamilton, Ewura Abena, and Fameye.
