Transport Fares To Be Reduce By 10% From May 17

The Ghana Road Transport Operators has revealed in a latest press statement indicating that there will be a reduction in transportation fares by 10% which will take effective on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

According the press statement, the 10% off public transport fares was as a result of the recent reduction in the price of petroleum products observed over some time now.

The association later revealed the 10% reduction covers taxis, intra-city (tro-tro), intercity ( long distance) and haulage transports.

They further request all operators, commuters and the general public to kindly cooperate with the new transport fares.

This will be second transport reduction announcement by the Ghana Road Transport Operators followed by the recent reduction in fuel prices.
